The Media Strategist (Planner) is responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the media plan, including buy recommendations, execution details, and maintaining budgets.


  • Works with team to establish media objectives, and strategies for campaigns.
  • Assists and implements the management of daily tasks in support of the media product.
  • Presents media plans to Group Director, Sr. Management, and/or Client for approval and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • Meets and communicates approved plans to Media Buyers for implementation.
  • Evaluates communication goals of potential media plans and makes recommendations.
  • Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for broadcast, digital, OOH or other advertising.
  • Calculates reach and frequency of potential media vehicles.
  • Prepares media plan flow charts and manages directives to guide the execution process.
  • Gathers statistics, charts and identifies trends to make the numbers reflect recommendations supported by metrics.
  • Assists in conducting media research, evaluating data, developing points of view, understands systems applications and understands various media and their applications against Client strategies/goals.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Client’s business.
  • Keeps current on media trends.

  • Strong interest/experience in analytics. Analytical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting at the micro level of data
  • Strong interest/experience in media accounting and client budget management. Oversees and coordinates all budgets across buying teams/departments
  • Build strong working relationships with specialist agency personnel (creative, PR, social, etc.).


The Assistant Media Buyer is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance for the implementation, monitoring and stewardship of approved plans in the Audio & Local Video Group, and has the following responsibilities:


Essential Functions

  • Assist negotiators/supervisors/ directors on all buying responsibilities by helping to manage and execute a campaign throughout the campaign lifecycle
  • Allocate, adjust and monitor schedules to ensure delivery to client goals, inclusive of inputting avails into Google Doc/ View, collecting spot times, in-flight posting, checking for sports conflicts, invoice reconciliation via SBMS, and checking TV Guide to confirm purchased programming
  • Assist buying team in gathering data to facilitate the buying process including RFPs, rate cards, boost rates, rep lists, rankers, rating requests thru Who’s Watching, inputting buys in View, etc
  • Learn and utilize research tools to gain insights into audiences and viewing behavior
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure media deals are fulfilled via confirmations in 11 orders and advertising runs correctly via collecting pre/post logs.
  • Work exclusively in software including Strata (SBMS.Net, View, 11Orders), MS Office Suite ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint ), and G Suite ( Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms ).

This is an entry level position into the field of digital advertising, and may work on one or more accounts in a variety of categories, such as entertainment, technology, fitness, fashion, insurance, and non-profit.


  • Assisting Planner with the day-to-day management of the media plan, including buy recommendations, execution, details, budgets/accounting
  • Working with planner to compile RFPs and assisting with plan development.
  • Compile plan specifics under direction of Planner; run reach & frequency reports and preparing proposals.
  • Assisting in the development of analysis that leads to optimization recommendations
  • Maintaining an awareness of the digital landscape and a proactive approach to learning and studying trends and new developments.
  • Resolving billing discrepancies
  • Support and administrative duties as assigned.


The Strategy AMD position is responsible for strategic and tactical development of media planning and buying with the integration of all the agency’s services. The ideal candidate will bring strong capabilities focusing on retail/CPG, including Hispanic market experience. We are seeking an individual with strong integrated media strategy experience who can plan agnostically across both digital and traditional channels.

This unique role will involve collaboration with the creative agency’s strategic process on anchor client account along with supporting new business initiatives. As such, the individual will be primarily based out of the creative agency’s Huntington Beach office (60-80%), along with regular presence at the Santa Monica office of Palisades Media Group (20-40%).


  • Operate as a senior client contact, leading strategic thinking across campaigns.
  • Provide stimulus for innovative solutions to business and media issues.
  • Act as client advocate internally and the agency’s advocate to clients.
  • Liaise with key creative agency partners
  • Set realistic client expectations and make every effort to exceed them, providing quality work in a timely manner.
  • Supervise junior strategy team members and ensure their growth and development across all facets of the planning process.
  • Participate in day-to-day work as a hands-on manager.
  • Promote an open working environment where opinions, views and ideas can be shared.
  • Actively participate in new business planning and related presentations.
